What is the Ticker?
The Ticker is a configurable stock ticker display that is located on the top portion of the STC platform. The Ticker displays the last sale, net change & % (percentage) change of each of the chosen stocks.
You are able to view the Ticker in different scrolling states and have the ability to view a drop down data box for each stock that provides you with more extensive data information on the particular stocks.
 

How do I display the Ticker?
If the Ticker is not visible and you wish to view it, you can reactivate the Ticker by:

Left click on the Ticker located on the far right side of the Order Entry panel.

How do I hide the Ticker?

There are two ways to hide the Ticker from being displayed on the application.
  • Left click on "X" the located on the far right hand side of the Ticker.



  • Left click on the Ticker located on the far right side of the order Entry panel.

How do I customize the ticker?
There are two ways to edit the contents and the functionality of the Ticker. The quick snapshot way to edit the Ticker is by left clicking on the Edit button located on the far right hand side of the Ticker. The other way to customize the Ticker is through the Settings page.
  1. What can I customize through the Edit button?
    You are able to choose what stocks are to be displayed on the Ticker and the scroll speed by left clicking on the Edit button located on the far right side of the ticker.



    2. What Stocks to view: You must left click on radio button in the Ticker setting box to choose:

    * Custom Stocks- you can choose specific stocks to view in the Ticker.

    * Watch List Stocks- you can select to view all the stocks in one of your pre-defined watch lists. The Watch List choice consists of a dropdown box that contains all of your pre-defined watch lists.

    * The scroll speed of the Ticker. You can left click on the scroll speed bar and drag the bar to increase/decrease the scroll speed of the Ticker. The range of the speed is from Static (fixed) to fastest.
  2. What can I customize in the Trade Settings page?

    You are able to further customize the Ticker in the Trade Settings Page by going to the Trade Settings page-General- Ticker.  The available settings are:

    * Custom Stocks- you can choose specific stocks to view in the Ticker.

    * Group to show- you can choose what groups of stocks are to be shown on the Ticker.
    The choices are:  1) Custom Symbols   2) Watch List  3) Position

    * State of the Ticker- this setting enables you to choose whether the Ticker is either scrolling or being shown in a static state along the top of the application.

    * The scroll speed of the Ticker.  You can left click on the scroll speed bar and drag the bar to increase/decrease the scroll speed of the Ticker.  The range of the speed is from Static (fixed) to fastest.

    * Streaming- this setting allows you to choose whether or not you would like to have streaming market data for the stocks in the Ticker.

    * Popup data box- this setting allows you to choose the default data columns and their position in the Popup data Box.  ( see details below)




  3. How do I position (configure) and add a data column for the Popup data rows for stocks in the Ticker?

    * To add a data row: In the left hand data box, you must click on one of the data choices.

    * Click the right arrow button to add the data choice to the popup data row. The new data choice that you have chosen will then appear above the highlighted data in the right hand box.

    * You are able to move data columns up and down and position them however you wish by using the Up/Down arrows buttons adjacent to the right hand box.

    * Click Confirm to apply the changes.

  4. How do I remove a data column for the Popup data rows for stocks in the Ticker?

    * To delete a data row: In the right hand data box, you must click on one of the data choices.

    * Click the left arrow button to remove the data choice from the popup data row. The deleted data choice that you have chosen will then appear in the left hand box.

    * Click Confirm to apply the changes.

Can I enter trade parameters through the Ticker?

Yes. If you left click on a Stock in the Ticker, a market order to buy this stock will populate the Order Entry Panel and the chosen stock will also be displayed in the Charts Panel.
